“After working with the ground for two decades and making the move to Morzine, it was clear there was a demand for my trade in this ever-expanding mountain town.
So I took a deep dive into the French language and built myself a team of experienced workmen, and I am proud to offer three essential construction services, conveniently housed under one roof.”
Hailing from the South Welsh valleys and digging holes in the ground from the ripe age of eight, Joe was destined to work with the land in one country or another.
With half of his family working in construction and the other half in farming, Joe was surrounded by heavy machinery and people with a hard work ethic from an early age which naturally lead to his decision of working with all things the earth, mud and concrete orientated.
After holidaying in Morzine at age 16, he had a newfound love for the mountains, which, unknown to him, would be the place he now calls home.

MOUNTAINS.
Joe had a successful groundworks and welding business in Wales. However, his call for the mountains was strong, and after finding himself in Morzine snowboarding in winter and biking in the summer, he decided to move the company abroad and live there year-round.
He brought the machinery over in 2018, initially set up as an Auto- Entrepreneur, scaling up to EIRL in 2019.
The company began as a small-scale welding, landscaping and minor concrete works business. Then, due to high demand and the quality of work, JPH Groundworks excelled to a Société à Responsabilité Limitée (SARL) business in 2021, now taking on large new build projects, major concrete works, and exterior finishings.
JPH Groundworks has a strong team of 10 and has machines ranging from 2 - 12 tonnes to tackle all aspects of the groundworks environment.
